Deep Blue Scuba Started in 1996 as a “training centre” within another dive centre in Scotts road. We were known as OutBound Divers. Back then we were a SSI Dive Centre with 5 “ Freelance” Instructors on roster. In 1999 we moved to our own small unit (just 200sqft) in Fook Hai Building. In 2000 we expanded to 2 units in Riverside Point with 5 full time staff. That year, we had record high turn over with nearly 1200 people diving with us. We even managed the training pool at Outram Sec Sch. In 2000 we became a PADI 5 Star Dive Centre , and in 2001 we achieved the rating of PADI 5 Star IDC. From 2002 – 2004 we were based in Big Splash at East Coast with a Salt Water pool at our front yard. At this location we conducted Discover Scuba sessions and also Project Awareness events with school kids using the East Coast beach as our classroom. By early 2004 we were told by the landlord that their master lease is expiring, so we hunted for a unit in town and within a stone’s throw from Clark Quay MRT station. Since March 2004, we have been operating from Hong Kong Street.
